Why Kids Learn Faster Studying in the Language They Think In

A lot of kids do their schoolwork in one language and think in another. Maybe they attend an English-language school but speak Spanish at home. Maybe the family moved countries two years ago and the new language is still catching up to the old one. Whatever the setup, there's a gap between the language school runs on and the language a kid's brain defaults to when it's actually working something out.
