A practice test shows what your kid doesn't know yet, and answering from memory makes it stick better than reading the chapter again. Here's how to make one from any textbook chapter in about two minutes: snap the pages, set their age, choose how many questions, and let them take it. The misses come first at the end, and Retry gives them only those.

Two days later, make a fresh quiz from the same pages. New questions, same material.

More on this: how long a quiz should be.

How to make a practice test from your kid's textbook, in about two minutes.

A practice test does something rereading can't. It shows what they don't know yet. And pulling an answer out of memory makes it stick better than reading it one more time.

Snap the pages the test covers. Here, two pages about muscles and bones.

Set the age in the info menu. Ten for this one.

Then choose how many questions you want from each photo. For a test, go higher. Five per photo gives ten questions.

Add the photos,

and generate.

Now they take it like the real thing, one question at a time, with an explanation after each answer.

At the end, the questions they missed come first. That's exactly what to review before the test.

Tap Retry, and they get only the ones they missed.

The options are shuffled, so it has to be real recall.

Keep going until it says all correct.

Two days later, make a fresh quiz from the same pages. The questions change, so they can't just remember the answers from last time.
