A quiz from two photos has six questions by default. Sometimes that's exactly right, and sometimes the test is on Friday and you want to go through the material properly. This clip shows how to make the quiz longer.

What happens in the video

  1. Tap the i button in the top corner of the app.
  2. Drag the Questions per photo slider. It goes from 2 to 10.
  3. Add your photos. The Generate button now shows how many questions the quiz will have.
  4. Tap it. Two pages at five per photo gives a 10-question quiz.

How the number is worked out

It's the questions-per-photo setting times the number of photos, with two rules on top. There's always at least 4 questions for the first photo and 2 more for each extra one, so one photo gives 4, two give 6, three give 8. And a quiz never goes above 50 questions. The setting is saved on your phone, so you only set it once.

Longer isn't always better, though. Two or three short rounds on different days usually stick better than one marathon, which we explain in why a few short quiz sessions beat one long block. A higher number makes most sense when there are several pages to cover, like in a review quiz the night before a test.
