Watch on YouTube

The middle video in the age series. A 12 year old is past simple recall, so the material here is a real textbook chapter: the opening pages on volcanoes from a geography reader.

What happens in the video

  1. Photograph the first two pages of the chapter.
  2. Set the age to 12 in the info panel.
  3. Generate the quiz and answer the first question right.
  4. Answer the second one wrong, and see the correct answer with the reason.

The first question was "What is a volcano fundamentally considered to be?" To get it right you need to have understood the page, not just spotted a word on it. That kind of question is what makes a quiz work as practice rather than as a scavenger hunt.

The wrong-answer part matters most here. Seeing the correct answer right away, with a reason, fixes the mistake while it's fresh, which is the point of explaining every answer. For a test later in the week, building a review quiz from photos walks through the routine.

What's said in the video

Geography homework for a twelve year old. A chapter about volcanoes.

Snap the first two pages.

In the info menu, set the age to twelve.

Add the photos, and generate.

Now the questions check that they understood it, not just the words.

Every answer comes with a short explanation.

And a wrong answer shows what the right one was.
