Turn any photo into a quiz, no textbook needed

Most people use SwipeSmrt on textbook pages, but it works on ordinary photos too. In this clip, two pictures of bees on flowers turn into a quiz about pollination.

The rule is simple. If there's text in the photo, the questions come from the text. If there isn't, they come from what's visible in the picture and the general knowledge it shows.

Things worth photographing

• A sign or an exhibit at a museum or a zoo.
• A plant, an insect or a bird on a walk.
• A map, a poster or a diagram on the classroom wall.
• A science experiment on the kitchen table.

A photo keeps the picture itself, which a typed note throws away, and that tends to help things stick. More on that in why visuals stick better than plain notes. And a quick quiz after a trip is a lot closer to a game than to homework, which is part of why the swipe format works for kids.
